During these uncertain times, keeping our East Toronto community safe and healthy is our top priority. And we’re committed to keeping you informed on every way we’re doing that. Please see the following updates to learn about the enhanced measures we’ve put in place to protect our community.

Patients and visitors

In order to maintain the health and safety of our patients, staff, visitors and community at large, MGH has implemented the following entry restrictions and enhanced screening precaution. We have also changed our visitor policy. Until further notice, the hospital is not allowing visitors except those deemed essential as directed by the Ontario Medical Officer of Health. Before you visit the hospital as a patient or visitor, please see here: https://tehn.ca/coronavirus-covid-19-information-mgh-patients-and-visitors

Cancelled services

Many non-urgent services have been cancelled or postponed. For a full list, please visit: https://tehn.ca/covid-19-list-cancelled-services Please check back regularly as teams develop different ways to see patients, such as virtual visit.

COVID-19 Assessment Centre

The Assessment Centre is not open for walk-in visits at this time. Please call ahead to book an appointment: 416-469-6858. Not everyone that comes to the Assessment Centre or Emergency Department will be tested. Testing will be offered only after clinical assessment indicates it is necessary. Patients who need to come to the Assessment Centre will be given a booked appointment. This enables the hospital to provide the right care for patients, support the important principle of social distancing and prevent unnecessary visits to the Assessment Centre or Emergency Department. For more information, visit: https://tehn.ca/programs-services/covid-19-assessment-centre. Patients can now get their test results online (48-72 hours): https://covid19.tehn.ca/resultupdate/

We'll continue to keep you updated over the coming weeks, and if you have any questions, please reach out to us.
