The Impact Council is a collective of young professionals who want to make a positive impact in East Toronto, raising money to support innovative Michael Garron Hospital projects that might not be funded otherwise. More money = bigger impact.
Previous support has funded projects like:
- Piloting a new virtual waiting room program and a wait time clock in our Stavro Emergency Department.
- Purchasing essential pieces of equipment and enabling a three-day Trauma-Informed Care workshop to prevent morbidity and secondary trauma during childbirth in our Family Birthing Centre.
- Enhancing clinical documentation accuracy, efficiency, and quality throughout the hospital with an AI-driven solution.
- Enhancing emergency response training: Purchasing two paediatric mannequins that will be used in simulation exercises. These drills enable healthcare teams to practice emergency responses in a safe environment, ensuring they are ready for high-risk situations involving young patients.
The government doesn’t fund innovative upgrades like these. But your support will.
