The Vital Venture Fund has come to a close for 2026! More than 1,700 people watched student video productions on how urgently needed tools and technology save lives. And answered the call to vote.
Thanks to the Moez & Marissa Kassam Equity Fund and anonymous donors, the following urgently needed equipment is being funded for our community:
- Wireless fetal monitors, which report baby’s vital signs during birth.
- A gastroscope and a videoscope to diagnose young patients with conditions like celiac disease and inflammatory bowel disease.
- Scanners to assess bladder function and avoid unnecessary catheterization.
- Baby warmers and a video laryngoscope to support baby’s first breaths.
- An EMG Machine for diagnosis of nerve and muscle disorders. Plus, a NIM Monitor that assesses nerves during ear, nose and throat procedures.
- A major VATS Tray, which includes a full set of instruments to support life-saving thoracic procedures. As well as ERBE cautery equipment, tools used to reduce bleeding during surgery.
